Modest Fashion Weeks is a recurring international fashion week targeting the modest fashion industry. The modest fashion market is a booming multi-billion dollar industry. The industry, as a whole, is led by powerful creative women, Muslims and non-Muslims.

In the last 3 years Modest Fashion weeks have been met with tremendous success worldwide. From a startup run by two young female entrepreneurs from Istanbul and Jakarta, they have evolved into a global modest fashion event series. These women have attracted the world’s attention from Asia, the Middle East, Europe, US and Africa.

Franka Soeria and Ozlem Sahin are two young female entrepreneurs from Think Fashion. They kicked off the first Modest Fashion Week in May 2016 in Istanbul and then continued to travel to London (2017), Dubai (2017), Jakarta (2018) then Dubai (2019).

The event series has now evolved into becoming a trusted international fashion platform known to be “a Star Maker”. The modest fashion weeks give birth to global names in the modest fashion industry.

Fashion For Good Cause

Since Jakarta Modest Fashion Week that held on July 2018, Think Fashion has started the Fashion for a Good Cause movement in the modest fashion industry. Modest Fashion Weeks includes and empowers fragile communities, such as economically underprivileged women, as well as tailors with disabilities and refugees.

“As a global leader, this movement aims to shift the modest fashion path from a creative industry and consumer focus to deeper topics; we believe that fashion should be about more than just fashion. “As a disruptive event series, Modest Fashion Weeks is distinguishing itself by raising awareness and promoting inclusivity – Fashion For All! We believe that everybody should have the right to access the fashion industry equally. “Franka Soeria.

During Amsterdam Modest Fashion Week, Think Fashion will be digging deeper into the idea of Fashion for Good” We have three main themes for #AMFW: Sustainable Fashion, Self-Discovery and Tolerance. Modest Fashion Weeks pushes these ideas to be recognised by our community and larger audience, hopefully it will inspire them to embrace these values,” says Ozlem Sahin
