Mark & Spencer announced a new design burkini for Muslim women consumes last week. It seems the mega fashion house didn’t want to be left behind of Dolce & Gabbana, Uniqlo, and H & M to reach out a very specific consumer market.

According to the 2015-16 sate of Global Islamic Economy Report, Muslim consumers spend an estimated $230bn on clothing, estimated to reach $327bn by 2019.

Muslim fashion is reportedly one of the industry’s fastest growing market. About 29% of the global population projected to be Muslim by 2030. That explains why global fashion houses around the world are at race to capture the consumers’ attention.
