In this video, I am comparing Iranian government’s recent policies to protect Islamic values against Western influence, with French government laws to protect French values against Islamic influences. Both countries created the culture of intolerance. Their take on Islamic or French values endangered lives of minority groups. They both are wrong!
Background: A recent ruling by the European Union’s highest court raise the question whether there is a place for visibility of Muslim women in public life. Following France in recent years, countries such as Belgium, Austria, Norway, Bulgaria, Denmark and a few more has banned hijab in their countries. Is the new law at CJEU will create a culture of intolerance against Muslims and women in Europe?
