In an exclusive interview with Goltune, Dian Pelangi describes Asia’s first Islamic fashion week as a platform for designers to showcase their modest collections.
Here, Dian explained the importance of collaboration among stakeholders. She encouraged designers, photographers, fashion lovers to share inspirations and experiences with designers of other countries.
In the last part of the interview, Dian concluded that ‘there’s also rules in Islam for modest fashion’. Even though there are limits to comply with modest fashion in line with Islamic principles, yet, the creativity part should not to be neglected,” she said.
The iconic fashion designer, Dian believes that modest fashion is a rising trend among well-known brands worldwide; therefore, greater collaboration is needed to make this phenomenon more successful.
