Muslim fashion label in Australia supports same-sex marraige vote

Australia Supports Same-Sex Marraige Vote

A Muslim-owned fashion label based in Australia, has created a rainbow-colored headscarf in support of LGBT.

There is a ranging battle for same-sex marriage in Australia as postal plebiscite took place over the issue.

The vote has ignited a debate that’s brought out the worst in homophobes, with priests declaring ‘all gays should be shot’ and MPs telling LGBT+ people to “stop being delicate little flowers” despite their rights being on the line.

“During one of the most critical and important times in our nation’s history, we at MOGA are proud to voice our support for marriage equality in Australia,” the company said in a statement.

“Our love and adoration towards the LGBTIQ community is strong and we have designed a limited edition rainbow striped Pride scarf in honour of their strength, bravery and inclusive spirit.”

Azahn Munas, the founder of MOGA, said: “Like with our previous designs, our Pride scarf can be worn by anyone, regardless of their skin colour, religious beliefs or sexual orientation.

“To demonstrate this, we have even draped it as a hijab, a world first, to acknowledge that members of the LGBTIQ community exist in ALL religions, including Islam, which is sadly one of the most homophobic in the world.

“At the end of the day, everyone should feel proud of who they are, regardless of their skin colour, religious beliefs, or sexual orientation, and everyone deserves the right to love and be loved in return.”
